Description
Our thumb latch sets come with a beautiful door latch that has a lever in the shape of a thumb, which is typically used on a ledge and braced door. A thumb bar is operated by this lever when it is depressed. When the thumb bar is inserted through the door, it raises the latch bar on the other side and causes the door to open.
- Using the age-old anvil and fire production process, our Blacksmith thumb latches are formed from mild steel.
- On conventional plank doors, thumb latches are frequently combined with a T hinge.
